One of the major social problems is road safety. Each year, more than 1.3 million people die in traffic accidents. Something should be done. What and how are the key questions. In this talk, we will look at the problem of safety regulation from the perspective of human behaviour: how people react to safety measures and, paradoxically, how these measures can make roads more dangerous.
