Strategic Partnership Agreement Outlines Joint Effort to Pave the Road to Achieving the Goals of Vision 2030
In a practical step towards meeting the goals laid out in Vision 2030, H.E. Dr. Nabeel Koshak, Dean of Prince Mohammed Mohammad Bin Salman College (MBSC) for Business & Entrepreneurship, along with Mr. Fahd Al-Rasheed, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MBSC and Mr. Osama Ashri, Head of Development and Strategic Alliances at MBSC announced the signing of a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Adaa (The National Center for Performance Measurement), outlining a cooperative program that is already in effect aimed at optimizing capacity development in the performance of public bodies in Saudi Arabia. Adaa was represented by Eng. Husameedin AlMadani, Acting Director General of Adaa along with Mr. Ibrahim Niaz, Executive Director for Capability Development at Adaa. The agreement was signed at Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College for Business & Entrepreneurship, KAEC on June 15, 2017.
“This is a very important and exciting agreement that we have signed today,” commented Dr. Koshak at the signing ceremony. “Adaa is indispensable to bringing Vision 2030 to fruition as it ensures measuring and reporting on public entities and their progress on delivering on strategic objectives and initiatives. MBSC’s role in training those responsible for delivering on objectives will be very challenging but, also, very rewarding. As the first institution in Saudi Arabia to offer MBAs based on entrepreneurship, we feel that being a part of the Kingdom’s development is our second nature. Our agreement with ADAA just reinforces that vision of MBSC.”
To fulfill its role in the agreement, MBSC will develop and deliver workshops and other programs tailored to the needs of participating government bodies, with the aim of developing employee capacities and competencies to maximize performance in the government sector. Also, through the “Performance Ambassadors” program initiated by Adaa, MBSC will present programs in leadership, strategic management and change management in addition to staging conferences and other events aimed at strengthening the message and vision of Adaa.
“Effective performance management in the government leads to better government services and improved citizen experience,” explained Eng. Husameedin AlMadani. “This agreement with MBSC, an organization that aims to developing a new generation of transformative leaders, provides Adaa with exciting opportunities to enable government bodies with the right knowledge and tools to deliver on their ambitious targets and become more citizen-centric.”
In exchange for the schedule of training activities provided by MBSC, Adaa will make specialized recruiting efforts to attract MBSC graduates to work at the center. It will also provide opportunities for cooperative training for MBSC students aimed at grooming them for future employability.
One of Adaa’s objectives is to ensure that necessary support is in place to enable public entities to understand and value performance measurement to help advance the country to achieve the three pillars of Vision 2030: becoming the heart of the Arab and Islamic world; establishing the Kingdom as an investment powerhouse on the world stage; and presenting itself to the world as the hub of three continents. Adaa is an independent government entity tasked with reporting on public entity performance, enabling transparency in government operations, and building and enhancing the performance management capabilities of public entities.
Vision 2030 is Saudi Arabia’s official vision for a successful future, which includes a thriving entrepreneurial sector. MBSC is dedicated to furthering the goals of Vision 2030, especially in terms of building an entrepreneurial culture and providing the educational support to do so.
