MBSC had the pleasure of participating in the first iteration of the Makkah Entrepreneurship Forum co-organized by Makkah Chamber of Commerce and MANAFEA on the 26th and 27th of November 2025.

The forum aims at making Makkah not only the religious compass of the Islamic world, but also the global capital of sustainable and ethical entrepreneurial economic activity. MBSC was represented by Dr. Tarek El Masri who moderated a panel discussion on the role of universities as an integrated ecosystem to support entrepreneurs.

During the discussion, the panel emphasized the importance of experiential education, spearheaded by MBSC, startup incubators and accelerators, and context relevant and applicable research, as crucial educational institutions’ outputs in support of the entrepreneurial activities in KSA and the Islamic world.
In the end, the panel stressed the fact that entrepreneurial innovativeness is best nurtured through an ecosystem approach, where policy, education, and individual agency interact, and each shared inspirational success stories from their respective institutions.
