An entrepreneurship instructor, author, and mentor with practical business experience and a proven record as an active player in the national entrepreneurship eco-system. Author of the widely successful Startup Idea Discovery book with research interests in entrepreneurship & innovation. Passionate about continuous self-learning, and creating social impact. Helped educate tens of thousands in the areas of entrepreneurship & scientific research through his online learning platforms.
Dr. Hariri earned his PhD in Engineering (Diffusion of Innovation) from University of Warwick in 2014; his thesis discussed the topic of innovation diffusion with an application/validation of an adoption model within the UK higher education sector. He earned a MSc in Business Excellence (Engineering) from the same university as well which received distinction for its quality. It discussed different subjects including Six Sigma, EFQM, Leadership, Project Management, e-Business, and e-CRM. The final dissertation was a study on the implementation of Six Sigma in Saudi Organizations. He achieved his BSc in Management Information Systems from the Business Administration school at King Abdulaziz University.
Dr. Hariri founded Mntrni, a mentoring platform connecting entrepreneurs with mentors to facilitate the exchange of knowledge & expertise. The platform received a good public reception and a growing number of mentors requesting to join. It Already delivered +100K mentoring minutes. He also founded Startup45.com, An educational website (+10000 registered members) teaching the basics of entrepreneurship and sharing great lessons and experiences through video courses, resources, and articles. Moreover, he founded Educad.me, a scientific research education platform (+25000 registered members and half a million social followers) helping early researchers in understanding the basics of scientific research. The platform is aiming to monetize by offering subscription access to a wide range of online video courses.
Dr. Hariri had the pleasure & honor to speak at some excellent innovation & entrepreneurship related events, including MITEF KAEC (2020), LeanCamp London (March, 2014), LeapStartup in London (2013), and IEForum UQU in Makkah (2013).
He is currently working as an entrepreneurship instructor & mentor in Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College of Business & Entrepreneurship, and teaches courses about entrepreneurship & supports students to realize their ambitious projects. Previously, he worked as a Fund Advisor for Wadi Jeddah Company Investment Fund, in which he helped to evaluate +50 pitches since the establishment of the fund. Also, he held the General Manager position of the Creativity & Entrepreneurship Center in King Abdulaziz University, with responsibilities including running awareness programs and events to spread the culture of innovation & entrepreneurship within the university. In the same university, he worked as a consultant to the Vice President of Business and Knowledge Creativity to help run innovation & entrepreneurship initiatives and programs in the university.
During his stay abroad in the UK, he co-founded the Entrepreneurship Excellence Center and worked as its VP of Quality & IT, where he designed & delivered innovation & entrepreneurship programs for Saudi clients/universities while working with leading organizations, like top Startup Accelerators/Incubators (YC, 500Startups, TechStars, and SeedCamp), leading Universities (Stanford (US), Berkeley (US), Oxford (UK), Cambridge (UK), Warwick (UK), and more) , and multinational companies (Google, Intel, Samsung, and more). Prior to that, he served as a member of the Consulting Committee for Bin Ladin’s Chair for Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Umm AlQura University, and as a Deputy General Manager of the Quality Management Administration in King Abdulaziz University. He possesses an extensive experience in IT, in which he worked as a Quality & I.T Consultant in a leading firm in Saudi Arabia. Through them, I worked with various public and private organizations as a consultant. Also, he worked as a freelance web designer in his early career.
