MBS College participating at Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) & signing a new collaboration agreement with Monsha’at. Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College (MBSC) of Business and Entrepreneurship announced that it has signed a new collaboration agreement with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at) during the 2022 Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) that is currently being held in Riyadh. As part of the collaboration, the school will offer a part of its Master in Management Program at Monsha’at’s premises in Riyadh.

MBS College and Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) celebrated the completion of “Leading of Excellence” Executive Education Program and signed a MOU Prince Mohammed bin Salman College of Management and Entrepreneurship signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Railway Company (SAR), for the purpose of training its employees in leadership and executive management skills. This year SAR employees completed the second executive development program titled “Leading of Excellence” with 75 participants who benefited from the program. The training program, offered by the college, contributed to providing SAR employees with leadership skills, self-learning, creative thinking, team leading skills for potential leaders, which gives them the chance to learn about investment opportunities, effective decision-making, and implementation of strategy, which all contribute to achieving excellence in performance.

MiM Students visit Saudi Greenhouses Management & Agri Marketing Co.

The Master in Management students of MBSC visited the Saudi Greenhouses Management & Agri Marketing Co. to learn about sustainable domestic food production in Saudi Arabia. Positioned strategically between 3 continents, 30% of global container flow passes by the west coast of the KSA, and the feedstock for many global supply chains presently originates from the east coast. This yields tremendous promise for value addition in global supply chains and perhaps explains why importing food has advanced in recent years. In support of Vision2030 and the SDGs, sustainable domestic food production is developing with priority.

Visit of Dr. Abdulrahman Alzamel

MBSC had the distinct honor in welcoming the Chairman of Zamil Industrial Investment Company, Dr Abdulrahman Alzamil, under the umbrella of MBSC’s flagship Guest Speaker Series. This momentous event was held at MBSC’s Riyadh campus which is headquartered at Monsha’at, and exclusively catered to an audience of students specializing in Management (MIM Program). MBSC students were privileged to hear from Dr Abdulrahman as he enlightened the audience with his wisdom and the journey of his family business, along with the rising opportunities in the Saudi economy connected to Vision 2030 and the economic reforms that were placed under the leadership of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince- his Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud. The event concluded with a jubilant milestone, an exclusive Dean’s Dinner held at the Fairmont Hotel in celebration and in honor of Dr Abdulrahman and his family. The dinner was hosted by the Dean of MBSC, Dr Zeger Degraeve, and a select representation of students from amongst the MBSC community and MBSC’s Graduate Student Council.

Careers “Network & Greet” Event Visibility on what the job market has to offer in terms of careers and development opportunities is a crucial aspect of the student experience. The “Network & Greet” event aims to create opportunities for both students and employers to engage, connect and network in a tangible way. On the February 9th 2022, leading multinational and local organization across multiple industries that includes management consulting, fintech, manufacturing, and consumer goods joined us at our Riyadh campus to discuss career opportunities, developmental programs, and provide industry insight. As a result, Foodics conducted several preliminary 1-on-1 interviews with students on campus, PwC collaborated with MBSC on a “Crack the Case” challenge where 6 students competed to solve a consulting case with a potential pathway to employment at the organization for the winners, and McKinsey selected 5 students were accepted into the “Edad” program.

MiM Students with NEOM

On February 9, 2022 the founding cohort of the Master in Management program at MBSC presented their final projects to a panel of judges including MBSC faculty and representatives from NEOM’S Food Sector, Mr. Thomas Hayes, and Ms. Amjad Alquni. Conducted at MBSC’s Riyadh Teaching facility at Monsha’at the presentations were the culmination of the Integrated Management Challenge course (IMC), a six-month hands-on project management course in which MBSC collaborated with NEOM’s Food Sector as our main innovation partner. During the IMC, students were able to directly apply the knowledge and skills developed from their courses in the MiM program with the objective of delivering innovative business, sustainability, strategic management, and marketing solutions to real challenges presented by our partners from NEOM. In accordance with the College’s aim “to develop a new generation of transformative leaders who think creatively and act boldly”, students were mentored by our world-class faculty and senior experts from NEOM, gaining first-hand experience working on strategic mega-projects that are critical to the fulfilment of Vision 2030.

The Spotlight Series: Rakan Tarabzoni The MBSC Industry Spotlight Career series aims to attract companies, employers, and experts to connect with MBSC students through events that combine knowledge sharing and industry insights with the ability to network in a friendly setting. Mr. Rakan Tarabzoni, Chief Operating Officer at the Future Investment Initiative Institute, led a motivational and informative session discussing how to achieve your true potential, persevere through tough times, and attain your career goals. After the session, students and Alumni had the opportunity to network with Mr. Tarabzoni and personally meet him. In addition, Mr. Tarabzoni scheduled 1-on-1 mentoring sessions where 10 students and Alumni. They were able to leverage his rich experience across multiple industries to discuss topics like leadership, making tough career choices, and how to pivot into a new industry. Finally, Mr. Tarabzoni surprised students by providing a limited number of invites to attend the next edition of the prestigious FII conference.
