Dr. Khaled Al-Dhaher earned his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States. He holds Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia.
Before joining the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) as Vice Governor for Supervision and Technology, Dr Al-Dhaher had a long hands-on experience in leadership positions spanning over 30 years in technology and financial services management. The latest position was the Chairman and Country Managing Director in Saudi Arabia with the global consultancy firm Accenture.
Dr Al-Dhaher held leadership positions in various companies in Saudi Arabia, Middle East and Africa including Microsoft, where he served as the General Manager in Saudi Arabia and the General Director of Business Solutions for MEA. Dr Al-Dhaher held the position of Managing Director for Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Saudi Arabia. Before that, Dr Al-Dhaher held leadership positions with Oracle as the Director of Business Applications as well as Financial Services Industry, Banking Solutions and Services for MEA.
Dr Al-Dhaher holds memberships in several committees and Boards of Directors.
