Profile

Anindya Ghosh is a Professor of Strategy at the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship (MBSC). His research explores how firms create and capture value from technological innovations through strategic and entrepreneurial actions. He is particularly interested in how ecosystems, standard-setting, and cognition shape firms’ search, adoption, and scaling of new technologies. His work spans industries undergoing rapid technological change, including artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, imaging, and wireless communications.

Before joining MBSC, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Tilburg University, Netherlands. Previously he was Assistant Professor at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad (ISB) and IESE Business School, Barcelona. He earned his PhD in Managerial Science and Applied Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from IESE, and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Professor Ghosh’s research has been published in leading journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and the Journal of Management Studies. His work has been recognized with the Industry Studies Association Dissertation Award (Second Prize), multiple Mack Institute Research Fellowships and Grants, and research funding from the EY-ISB Institute of Emerging Market Studies (IEMS) and the Srini Raju Centre for IT and the Networked Economy (SRITNE) at ISB.

Earlier in his career, Professor Ghosh spent more than a decade in the wireless telecommunications industry across India, Silicon Valley, and Spain. In 2001, he founded Kubi Wireless, Spain’s pioneering wireless internet service provider. As its founding CEO, he raised millions in venture funding, deployed nationwide infrastructure, and forged alliances with global technology and telecom firms. Kubi Wireless was recognized as one of Actualidad Económica’s ‘100 Best Ideas of the Year’ and was runner-up for the European Business Plan of the Year. These experiences continue to inform his research and teaching on strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
