Profile: 

Dr. Othman Alolah is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College of Business & Entrepreneurship (MBSC) and also serves as a faculty member at Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of California, Riverside, an M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Tampa, and a BBA in Finance and Investment from Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University. Additionally, Dr. Alolah is a CFA® charterholder and an active member of the CFA Society Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Alolah’s research focuses on empirical corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on executive compensation and corporate venture funds. His work has been showcased at leading international conferences such as the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, the Eastern Finance Association Conference, and the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting. Dr. Alolah has been awarded significant research grants, including one from the Saudi Capital Market Authority for an in-depth study on initial public offerings (IPOs) in the Saudi market (Tadawul), published on the Authority’s website, and another from AlJazira Bank to explore Social Investment Funds in Saudi Arabia.

Outside of academia, Dr. Alolah is actively involved in the industry, serving as a board member for private firms in the investment and marketing sectors. In these roles, he acts as an independent director and chairs the investment committee. Additionally, he is the co-founder of a rapidly growing company in the food and beverage sector, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership abilities.
